Brief: Design an experience that explores the nature of consciousness

This week, according to the feedback given by teachers and classmates last week, we met with difficulties at the beginning. Because we feel that what we want to express is very abstract, and we don't know how to materialize or visualize.
My idea is to create a mysterious environment in which the object is the canister. People's behavior in this environment is to ask for Lottery poetry. Through the analysis of the storytelling, I found that many people do not usually believe in these metaphysical things. But in some special cases, for example, people mentioned most is in the examination, people will go to worship Buddha and believe. I think this is because people sometimes want to use this method to help them make decisions or give directions when they have no solution or choice. I think to create an environment, and then the object is the container, and then the person is to complete the lottery this behavior. The three are interrelated and influence each other.
But my teammates think that from last week's research we know that the act of drawing the lottery can affect people's consciousness and change people's subsequent behavior. They wanted to visualize the idea. Therefore, in order to further the idea of the canister, I proposed to focus on the selection of materials. Why do people believe in lotteries? I think just because it's a historical thing, and then. Wood can increase the feeling of weight and thus enhance the confidence index.
Experience
We initially wanted to find an alternative to Lottery poetry, something more western, like tarot CARDS. We want to use starch to write good luck or bad luck on a piece of white paper and then use starch to meet iodine blue characteristics, on the white paper spray iodine. Words appear on white paper. It presents a sense of magic. But after many experiments, we finally gave up because the effect could not reach our expected idea. I'm going to go back to the draw.
So we all took each other's ideas and combined them, first of all, to design a process, from the beginning of the lottery to the end of how it affected everyone's consciousness and reflected it in behavior. The details are drawn in this environment. We will redesign the cartridge to make it more convincing in terms of material and paper design.
I went to 3Dworkshop with Tracy and zain to make the wooden signature and signature holder.
Lili and Yitong completed the design of the signature paper together.

The first step is for each person to draw a lottery. The result of the lottery is divided into good luck and bad luck. And when you open the result, there will be a suggestion for you. For example, if you draw bad luck, what can you do to defuse the situation.

Step two, let's go into the hallway and play an audio clip. This is an audio clip of some of your positive and negative words, and I mixed them together to make an audio file to play.

In the third part, we return to the classroom and then put yourself heard the most profound sentence.
We want the outcome to be that if you get good luck, the outcome will affect your awareness so that you can only hear or focus on the positive things around you. If you get bad luck, it will make you think in a bad way whenever something unusual happens to you.
Feedback And Reflection
In this design, we overlooked a very important point, that is we did not guide everyone and the element of sound is a bit singular. When everyone walked into the corridor, they felt very confused and didn't pay attention to the aspect of sound. As a result, the environment we are shaping is not very strong for everyone.
In this project, it was the first time I went to 3Dworkshop to make my work. I find it very interesting. When I go to the office and the teacher explains my ideas, the teacher will actively give a lot of opinions and help us to complete it together.
